valve tappets

Could some one tell me what size tappet wrench is used for the 308 valve tappet lock nuts. Is it 1/2 " ?

Ron - There are no tappet lock nuts on a 308 . The adjustment "screw" is self locking. It takes two 1/2 " tappet wrenches - one to hold the tappet and the other to adjust the screw. Norm

Thanks for responding. I wasn't sure if they are 1/2 or 9/16 I only have 1/2 " tappet wrenches and thought I should look for an additional set.
