Try looking on one of the spring mounts or frame components, at the back right side. I believe it is stamped in there, in plain view (without getting under the car). If you post the number, people can tell you exactly what model year it is.
You have posted this question in the "Hudson Street Rod" section, which is a great place to ask about modifications to Hudsons, but this is a "general" question that pertains more to the historical aspect (I.D.'in the year). You will get a much quicker response to general questions by listing them in the regular Hudson portion of the Forum.0 -
Perley didn't get a frame with his car, but having seen it in person, judginb by all the flowery interior trim and garnish, I'm thinking it's a 29.

Hi Sam
go to the http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/EssexSuper6/ and you should be able to look up the tag number on the fire wall and find out for sure what year it is you may have to join but this is for the early tin of the Essex and Hudson's. a lot lot of the people run on both sites like me, if its got the pine cone handles or rose handles its probably is
there is different swag marks on the body for different years as well as the cowl vents also differ for different years
