I have the 36 coach back at the house today. I took a shot of the sunroof so you could see how the folks at Coachcraft in London did it. The front section pushes back into the back section and all is covered with the course leather you see on cars from the early 30's. It is simple and all manual.

Wow, never seen anything like that. Is the rear of the front panel under spring tention or does it go up a ramp when it closes? I don't see what would make it level out when closed? Also, how much does the material over lap the body when it's finished?

    Interesting car.:)

The metal strip about 1/4 the way back with the bar down the center attaches to the headliner section that is almost perfectly square. That is the section that slides back into the roof section. About half of the roof section is covered with the cloth and does not move. When it is inplace, there is a thum bolt that screws the front section in place. The two sections of metal in the back section mates with a bracket that permits it to slide back and forth. Now if this does not make sense I can take a photo or two to explain it? When I first saw the car the sun roof was and had been leaking so a previous owner had tacked a section of material over the whole roof opening to stop the leaking. I plan to have the sunroof in place. I most likely will never drive it in the rain anyway? However, it is being build as a driver not a big point show car....
