Nope, the mount holes are central. Loosen off the front mounts, and lever the engine forward a bit until you can get the bolts in.0

Have you replaced the Hudson mounts with AMC motor mounts? If so, you will not get the necessary play to put the rear trans mount in without doing more work...0

Out of curiosity, what kind of transmission? Also, is the tranny up tight to the block?0 -
Its very common for the front engine plate to have a slight bend in it due to the car hitting something solid..like the car in front of it! A seemingly small "hit" in the front end will cause the 700# plus.. weight of the engine/transmission to move forward enough to put a light bend in that plate. Impossible to correct in the car. Just loosen everything up and use a pry bar if required.0

Loosened front engine mounts and use a pry bar to pus it forward. They lined up pretty easily.
