Just uploaded to the Hudson On-line Library - 1949 thru 1954 Hudson Service Merchandizers. For those who haven't come across these, they were the house magazine for the company. They are full of information, technical articles, specs on new products and much more.

To the best of my knowledge this is a complete set - all years are posted except 1953. Those have been up-loaded and will be posted soon.

The On-line Library is @:

Thank you everyone - credit must also go to Gregg Maroney. It's his web site. I scan the material and since I haven't figured out how to put adobe documents on-line, Gregg provides a home for it.

Again, I must say "Thank You" for your efforts. Not everyone knows that you do this for nothing but the love of Hudsons and the greater good of the hobby. All of this and you don't have the pleasure of owning and driving a Hudson.

These Service Merchandisers are great reading and can really clear up a lot of small details that come up from time to time. Just looking for one thing can uncover a mountain of "new" information. Example.. I started looking for Overdrive info on the 49. I ran across a mention of the connecting rods in the 49 262 engine. There was a thread here on the forum that delt with the difference in the rods between the early sixes and late sixes. The early ones being rifle drilled. I took part in that discussion, but had a question at the time that i didn't post... I had just rebuilt my 49 262 and although the rods appeared to be forged in such a manner to be drilled..they were NOT.. The July 1949 service merchandiser says that the rifle drilling had been discontinued. So it happened long before the 308 was introduced.

So much to read..so little time...

    Thanks again Alex
