Reminds me of the 49 coupe that my friend and I killed in the late 50's. It was his dad's car and he gave it to us. We pulled it from behind the barn, got it running and took it to my dad's gas station. We torched the springs front and back and ended up welding the doors shut because it rode so bad it broke the side windows. At the end of the summer we cut the body off and our junior class made a float out of what was remaining for our local fall parade. We talked the Home comming Queen into riding on the float and the best thing I got out of the whole project was a date with the Home comming Queen. Youth, if I only knew now......... Where is that extra set of curb feelers that I put away?

Me Too! He seemed pretty gung-ho with that whole project.:(
  • Guy and Russ,

Still gung ho but with the new baby time is scarce .. i feel that i could pass the torch to someone with the same goal to see it through.. minor things needed to finish and is pretty much is in daily driver condition.

    Hope all is well

  • Sorry to hear this Lance, but having a young son of our own, there is no car that compares to your own child. Best of luck with the new kid and best hopes that someday you are able to return to the hobby.
