Kudos to Sarah Young on her Jet website -- http://home.comcast.net/~sarahdyoung/hudsonjethistory.html -- I just happened onto this. Where have I been?

There's a fascinating history that explains the evolution of the car's design, a whole section on repair and maintenance, another section on restoration, and all sorts of facts, figures, and technical info. I'm not a Jet owner but it still makes fascinating reading. I heartily recommend it!

Where HAVE you been, Jon? That's been a primo site for some time.
  • With out question the right person is in charge of the Jet Set! I probably will not own one, but it makes me appreciate the model more than I had. Thanks Sarah doing a great job.

:)Thanks, Sarah Young for the informative site for the Hudson Jet. I had '53 Jet sedan back in the seventies and had very little use from it as I took it in for brakes and the shop lost the front grease seals and could not find replacements. So I got rid of the jet. My wife has always liked the Jet and I came across one a few years ago, a "low mileage sedan". From the picturs, the interior was shot, the engine compartment was dirty, and he would only send pictures of the right side, front and rear. I saw a broken parking light and a bent bumper on the left and when I asked him, he said there was a small dent in the left fender. He wanted quite a bit for the car and I made a reasonable offer that he refused, needless to say I did not buy it. From experience, if at all possible, have some one look at the car that you trust or look at it yourself before buying it sight unseen. In most cases, any car looks better in a picture than when you see it in person. Enjoy the week. Arnie in Nevada.

Thanks to all for the kind words. It's a labor of love. :) I've also collaborated information on Professional Cadillacs (now included on PNWProCars.com) as well as Vintage Travel Trailers if you're interested in taking a peek.
