Help Identify Hudson Emblem

Hey guys, anybody know if this is off a Hudson car and if so what it is exactly (year, location on car, etc.)? It's 3 & 1/2 inches wide and 1/2" high, cast in what looks like stainless, with two mounting studs on back. I'm thinking it's not a car emblem but not sure. Regardless, it's gonna be....:cool:

It is an emblem that goes on a heater. I cannot put an exact date on it but I am thinking late 30's early 40's. The heater for my 39 as pictured above has this emblem on it.

Thanks Brownie, that makes alot of sense! The reason I was questioning whether it was a car emblem was because it looked too small to be an outside emblem and I couldn't remember ever seeing such and emblem on a dash. But, I wouldn't have seen or noticed a heater emblem for which it is perfect size and manufacture.

Thanks for the kind words. You know what it really means is that we with the answers are old? I love the emblem and it is in such great shape. The art deco style was big in the late 30's with Hudson design team.
