Who has best 308 Engine Rebuilding Kit?

I'm planning on having a 308 completely rebuilt. I'd like to be able to provide the mechanic the complete parts kit for rebuilding the engine and just have him do the labor.

I know that Dale Cooper has them for $1,365 plus shipping. I've ordered stuff from him before and I was happy.

Just for comparison sake, are there any other complete kits out there? Please include the price if you know it.

You can get complete kits from Kanter for a little more but as said above you can't beat Dale's price and more importantly the service. He also has the top of the line head gaskets which give you a much better seal. If you want Hudson parts its best to support the Hudson parts guys. If we don't they won't be in business.

I used Dale and found his service to be great. He promptly returns calls, ships the stuff out the day you order it and works with you in the event you need to exchange or return something. Yes, you can get the stuff elsewhere. Kanter and Egge both have the same stuff, and quite frankly I think all three suppliers get it all from the same distrubuter/mfg, BUT, their service does not compare. I wont deal with Kanter unless my life depends on it (too slow to ship, nightmare to return, left on hold, days to return a call or email. oh, and their gasket kits s*** big time). I have used Egge in the past for some Packard parts and found them to be ok, just it took a week or ten days to get the parts. Dale does nothing but Hudsons and knows his stuff better than anyone at the other suppliers and his stuff is priced right. my 2 pennies.

Dale has always treated me great. I cannot think of another place where I would even consider going to get gaskets, or other Hudson related mechanical parts...



All of the gaskets fit, fit well, priced great, no problems!



I plan on doing a 308 somewhere down the road, and he will absolutely be my source for an engine kit, when the time comes!



He also has some other mechanical related HTF parts as well, don't forget!



He's going to love me next year.... I'm gonna try to finance a wing on his house or something with my project plans next year......



Also, keep in mind, the more we support him, the better the prices get on all of this stuff!

I phoned Dale for my needs he had the stuff in the mail the next day and told me to pay the bill that was in the box of parts. Try doing that with any of the other guys. Dale trusted I get the bill paid which I did just as prompt. Makes me a repeat customer I am getting all the stuff I need to rebuild my two 308's from Dale for my winter fun project. Wouldn't go anywhere else for rebuild kits.

I can't add any more positive comments on Dale Cooper, everybody had voiced my opinion.



So lets just say, my money is with Dale when it comes to the engine parts. I'm quite happy with him so far.

Dale did the same thing for my parts. I needed it shipped overnight and paid him after I got the bill.
