What's up with the site?

Same here?? It still works fine, as far as I can tell?0

The website does occasionally seems to have a few quirks... It only took me an hour to figure out how to change the chronological order of messages on the forum threads...
Try this...
If you have a 3 button mouse with wheel in the middle try this...
Place the cursor somewhere on the web page. Make sure it's "active" on that page by clicking the left button once.
Hold down the control (Cntrl) button and roll the center wheel forward or backwards and the web page will increase and decrease accordingly.

If you don't have a 2-button/wheel mouse you can hold down the Ctrl key and press the + (to enlarge) or - (to go smaller) keys.

I also noticed that the threads fill up the whole screen from left to right and sometimes the words in one line drag on and on and you have to scroll from left to right to see all of the words0

I believe that happens when someone posts a picture that is too big for the normal screen- the program can't narrow the pic automatically, so it widens the screen. The more computer savvy on here (of which I am not one) re-size their pics before posting.0

Mike this happens with only text, no pics. All of the pages here, threads etc. are exploded! Someone did something on the settings for the site that is causing this. So the admin. or webmaster needs to do some fixin! I am surprised that the sponsors aren't raising hell about this since none of the ads are showing any longer.0

My guess is they are working thru deployment issues of the new forum software - probably that's what changed settings, or they had to revert to the older software.
If you're running IE 8 try Page->Compatibility View Settings and add the site to the list.
Also a simple F5 or page refresh may take care of the display issues that's what I have to do, after that I can browse ok.0 -
Ted W. to the white courtsey phone please!
When Classic Car added the ads to on the left (which I believe changed depending on the topic and/or keyword) it took forever to load the Hudson Classic Car Page, and it would often time out (No, I am not on dialup). Once in the site it took a long time to access the individual threads, and when you used the back button it dropped the page and you had to start over again. With the ads now gone the pages load fine and I can move in and out of the threads without a hassle. It's working better now than it has in the last few months.0 -
I like it like this. It fits my monitor screen perfectly.

Yes, on my screen too. Who needs the ads on the screen anyway? My system is so much quicker to go from one thread to another - it's great.

I was so tired of waiting for that robot to stop so the thread would open that I was about ready to buy a faster computer or stop visiting the forum. But since advertisers pay the bills they will probably be back.0
