I like this one...

I guess they had to add the "Very Rare" part again though.

Yes, a very nice car. I am not all that sold on the color combination, but would love to have it in my shop. I expect it will end up to rich for my blood? I guess that is why I build them rather than buy them done?0
-
Well, the ad says "original". Was this color combination available in '35? The interior looks way to nice to be "original" but I did notice the ever popular rear window leak. I would love to see this car in person. It's been awhile but I don't remember seeing another 2 door '35 sedan.0

Pretty nice car, but that paint scheme is a bit too wild for me. Nothing like it was offered in '35. I had a '35T 2-door back in my youth, and stuffed an eight in it. Went like crazy. I never did get nerve enough to see how fast it would go at the top end ... chickened out at 90. But from a traffic light it was dynamite!0

Pretty car. Not too crazy about the paint job. Also, was it really as difficult as it looks to get into the back seat?0
-
The whole passenger seat flips foward and it is pretty easy to get in. Drove my cousin and his new bride from the church to the reception hall in my 35 two door. Big dress and all fit easily. Little bit tuffer to do on the drivers side though as only the back of the seat moves forward.
For the car on evilbay not sure about the electric wiper motors being stock. Mine aren't like that.

Yes. My '37 is a real PITA to get into, even on the curb side, where the seat shifts forward as you flip the seat back down. Great if you weigh less than 150 lbs, sucks if you are an adult-size like me.0 -
I went and looked at it a couple of months ago and made an offer of about 1/2 of what it is bringing. It is pretty rust free, not the original paint or interior and would make a cute driver, but to be real nice most chrome, body work and interior needs redone. Sorry for the bad report and the light color is a yellow tint in person, not tan. The brown is off also.
Looks like it might bring more than they were asking.0 -
Question answered. Then the BS starts. Sorry Steve, my $.02.
Q: does the gun come with it???? has it at sometime gone through a restoration? how old is the paint?? thanks pete Dec-15-09
A: HI Pete, Yes the gun is part of the Buy It Now Deal!! As far as restoration goes, this car appears to be all original, if someone had done restoration work to this car they must have had it done by a certified Hudson restoration expert. The paint is in very good condition , with some minor scratches. I can't imagine after 75 years the paint could look as good as it does without having a repaint some where along the line, but I can't find any indication of over spray or areas that indicate older paint then the rest of the car it all looks original. The paint is without a doubt a high quality product and aside from some minor touch up spots it looks great! let me know if you have any other questions....thanks, Steve0 -
3 shots without the gun!!!!!!!0

It sold $22.5K under "buy it now". Congratulations to someone!0

Hi every one. I am the guy that bought the car. I'm not sure it is all original but it's close. I am no expert on older cars, I'm really a Vette guy.
My wife fell in love with this one so it ended up coming home with me. It will just be a nice driver for her to have some fun with.
I did forget to pick up the Thompson so I'll be going back up and retrieving it next week, BTW it is just a copy but still cool.
I'm just going to go through the mechanics, some new tires and a few other thing and she'll be good to go for now.
Merry Christmas to all
Capt Van
PS Steve also has a very cool 28 Essex with less than 10k miles. It sure looks totally original to me and started and sounded great.0 -
Hi Capt, Welcome to the world of Hudsons. Since the car is in Florida and you said "Go back up and get it" I expect that you live in South Florida. As I said before, nice car! It should be a lot of fun to drive and enjoy. This forum is an excellend resource for parts, information and materials for your car. You also might want to get in contact with the Hudson Club in your area. http://www.hetclub.org is the website for the National Club and you can contact some local folks from that web site. Enjoy.....0

Hi everyone,
As sometimes happens things didn't work out as planned.
My wife is a breast cancer survivor and do to all the surgery etc she just can't drive the car. I bought the car for her and got it up and running pretty well but I'm still just not a "old car" guy. My choices were to try to modernize it, small block, a/c etc but I've decided that this is just too nice of a car to hack up so I'd like it to go to someone that wants it for what it is.
I've gone through it and gotten it pretty dependable, carb rebuild, radiator recore, put in an altinator (still have the gen) Diamondback radials, water pump, tune up.
I might be able to take something as part trade, what do you have? I need another motorcycle or rhino??
If you have any interest or just want some info you can call me or email.
