WOW! Those pieces look super!
The pieces below the bumper guards look like window trim. Where do they go on the car?
Keep the pics coming!

(So that's what a STRAIGHT rear valance panel looks like! LOL):D0 -
I didn't realize there was so much wood in the pre-war cars. Are these body support pieces?
Project is really looking good!0 -
Parts look great!!! Good looking hubcaps--who did them for you, or did you do them? Do we get to see a shot of the wood reassembled before the body parts go on? You'll need to hurry to make the National this year?0

The valance panel work was mostly done by my 'boss" on this project ( Junior Carswell ). The panel was obviously in pretty rough shape. He spent a lot of time in getting it to where it is now. The pieces below the bumper guards are the windshield trim. The hub caps and all the other chrome work was done by a guy in Cheeryville, NC. If anyone would like his contact please let me know. The wood parts were all done by Crouch Lumber in Hickory, NC. Total cost was less than $300. The parts are for the convertible top, body supports and the trunk pieces above the spare tire. The wood header and the large curved top piece have not been finished at this time. I will take pictures of the wood pieces after they are put back on the car but it will not be for several months. The body is going to be taken to a larger garage for the rest of the winter. We need to let the primer "cure" for a few months before the car gets painted. This is going to make it difficult to complete the car before Nationals. I will continue to send pictures as we go along. Hopefully I can get them all on one posting so you do not have to go to 3 or 4 places to find them. Thanks to everyone for showing interest in this restoration.0
