Manitoba Hudsons
Hello,
I didn't know much about Hudsons when I was a teen. I had never even seen one previously, and then all of a sudden I changed schools and started passing by a house that had a whole collection. It seemed to me they had cornered the entire supply in Manitoba or possibly all of Canada. I thought they looked fabulous. I never did get to meet the owner...my dad changed jobs and we moved on rather short notice. This would have been in 1982.
I am curious if any of your members have any recollection of this person and their collection.
Kindest regards,
Nicholas

Nicholas, you might want to peruse the Canadian Hudson enthusaists' website, and ask the question over there as well. http://www.hudsonmotorcar.org/0

I would say that was either Jack Smith or John Mireault. Both owners of multiple Hudsons and both in Manitoba. Tell me where in Manitoba and I can tell you who it was.0
-
Jack is gone now. I don't know John.

Yes Jack is gone but in 1982 he was around.0

He certainly was! Of course, I didn't meet him until '87 in Cleveland. I saw Jack's coupe for sale in the WTN a few months ago. I wonder what happened to the rest of his estate...

It's been a long time since I was in this forum. One of these days I'll find a way to keep track of things. In any case, if anyone is still around, the best information I can provide is that I used to see the cars on way to school (Vincent Massey Collegiate (see map)).
I hope all those Hudson's found homes!0 -
I know now why they are so rare in Québec! Michel0
