Old Photo Album, late 40's Hudson Commodore - now on eBay

I'm currently listing a complete vintage photo album on eBay - it covers a road trip, around 1950, in a late 1940's Hudson Commodore. The journey was from Idaho through Montana to Banff and Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. There are several nice photos of the Hudson. I'd appreciate confirmation of the model/year. Ebay item # = 180463926854, auction ends February 10, 2010.

    I believe that's a 48 or 49. Interesting album. One of my other interests are road trips - you certainly have a memory there for sure. Wish my mother hadn't tossed my Route 66 road trip album when I went in the navy. She cleaned out and tossed all my "childhood" things.

    I think it's a '49 Super Six or Super 8 ... I think the "dusty" photo shows a little glint of light from the molding clip on the front door, and the taillights are definitely Super series.

    Many thanks for your details to help identify the car - in looking closer at the album's photos, I'm unable to see the front window trim clip location to decide 1948 vs 1949. I now know it's a Super vs a Commodore - and in the research process for listing the album on eBay, have learned more about these great cars.
