Where is my '37?

Hi-I had a '37 Hudson 8 Model 74, 2 door,flat back. Ser. # 743434. I had installed a '56 308 with a hydro. It was all done except paint and interior. I sold it at that point and the new owner removed the eng. & trans to use in another car. I wonder if anyone has come across it? I heard it went back East. Thanks. Norm

You didn't mention when you sold it. If it was back in the 50's or 60's the car may no longer exist but if it made it into the 80's or 90's (at which point people began to realize the value of such casr) it may have survived. I suggest you contact Robbie Williams, he keeps the registry for all the surviving 1937's (well, he registers anyone who is nice enough to send in their serial number to him!). He's listed with the rest of the registries in the back pages of the WTN.
