Rudy-An old Chilton manual says your '52 308 (Twin-H) would have a WA-1, Tag #968S. I have a Hudson sheet with a lot of metering rod #s for different Carter carbs. The standard metering rod for a 968S is #75-834. The specs. for this rod is- Length-3 9/64". Economy step- .076" dia. Middle step tapers to- .063" dia. Power step- .056" dia. The sheet also shows metering rod- one sizes lean- 75-861.. 2 sizes lean- 75-862. 3 sizes lean- 75-863. I don't know if this will help. Norm0

Just a matter of curiosity, since by this time, many carbs have lost their tags. Is the model number stamped on the carb somewhere?0
