Picked this Hudson six up today, and will be going through it.It is loaded with parts that I am going to sort through this weekend. This car has been sitting for at least 30+ years, and I am not sure if it is a restorable candidate yet.Interior is shot, fabric wise, doors are rusted at the bottoms, frame is great..Some parts will be going up for sale soon..Just putting up some pictures for some idea's...Thank you...

I am doing a restoration on a '50C6 right now, same car as yours. I have owned mine for about 15 years. I got it from the original owner and I put 25,000 miles on it before I took it apart. It is a great car.

Take all of the junk out of yours, close all of the windows and give it a good washing, with a product that will remove a lot of that oxidized paint. You may be surprised and have a beautiful, restorable car. Is the engine assembled or in pieces? If possible you should check out the condition of the engine, compression, etc. Good luck.
  • Unfortunately not possible to drive it at this time, and it is down in Florida.I may try to save it,I will post some pictures this weekend after she gets some cleaning, and a better evaluation of the project...
  • The engine head is removed, stated by the old owner that it locked up from sitting. The head looks good ,but is going to need a good going over.I do not think it will take much to get it going again..Well see...Thank you

Restore it. She casts a great shadow. Save the dirt and sell it to a landscape outfit.

I'd take the engine apart and check it so you know what you have. Might have to pull the rod caps to free up the pistons one at a time anyway. If the valves are stuck, only tap on them with a punch centered on the head so ya don't bend em. Keep us informed.

Where in Florida? from the background looks like North Central Fl ? That humid Florida air sure takes it's toll..
  • Thanks for the information, and I will keep you informed...
  • The car evidently was in a barn in Penn. and then transported many years ago to Florida,by the owner to get back into shape, to an area near the west coast. Most of the rust is surface was received mainly in Penn, but I will know more when I get it to my hanger for cleaning up this weekend..Thank you
