I have looked in the car handbook and Maintenance manual and cannot find the weight listed. Anybody happen to know the weight of a 1951 Comm 8?

I am looking at a trailer and want to be able to use it for the car in case of an emergency.

According to Car Distribution Department Bulletin No. DL-51-19, dtd 4-25-51, the weights for the 1951 Commodore 8's are as follows:

    4-Door Sedan - Shipping Weight 3575#, Curb Weight 3749#

Club Coupe - Shipping Weight 3560#, Curb Weight 3734#

Convertible - Shipping Weight 3755#, Curb Weight #929#

Shipping weights include spare wheel (no tire and tube), tools and jack, but do not include water, oil or gasoline.

Curb weight as above but includes water, oil and 20 gallons of gasoline.

The "weight" shown does not necessarily represent the actual weight of options included, but represents the difference, over or under, the weight of the standard equipment replaced (if any).
