I'm not talking about Daily Drivers, what other, if any, collector or classics do folks have?

1979 Chrysler New Yorker, 360 auto, all options, 3rd owner, always an Oklahoma City car;
1971 Dodge D-100 pickup, 383 auto, complete project;
1971 Dodge D-100 318 auto, SWB, 4x2, ex-AF truck, son's truck;
1967 Dodge D-100 Custom Sports Special pickup, 318 auto, AR truck from new, one of only six '67 CSS known, and one of only 31 CSS trucks from 1963-1967 known, very rare truck!
1967 Dodge D-200 Camper Special, 318 4-speed, 4.10 Dana 60 SG rear;
1966 Dodge Coronet 500 hardtop, 361 bigblock, auto, tach, ps. pdb, Magnum 500 wheels, second owner, lots of options, owned 25 years, magazine car;
1937 Terraplane Brougham, 85% restored, needs final assembly (interior and detail work finished), stock 212 and 3-speed and overdrive, converted to alternator and 12V;
Drivers - My '96 Dodge 3500 Club Cab one-ton Cummins dually, 5-spd, 3.54 Dana; wife's 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring convertible, 2.4L Turbo auto.
All are tagged, titled, and drive. Only the '71 is considered a long-term project. The '37 is almost completed, and the other '71 Dodge is a plain ol' work truck. The '66 and the '67 Dodges are show-ready and sweet!0 -

You didn't want daily drivers - but, I got an 87 Dodge D-150 pickup, 225 slant six, 130,000 miles. With todays gas prices I couldn't afford it if it weren't a daily driver - I pickup a few bucks for gas money off the neighbors hauling their yard clippings and downed branches to the land fill.

A very nice '54 man! My wife actually wanted me to buy and restore a 55 Buick Century Convertible I found in Texas instead of buying the Hudson. It was a difficult decision but in the end I wanted a lead sled more than a convertible.........maybe next one?0

backtohudsons, do you have the 455 in the rear engine compartment of the Corvair, or in the back seat? My first car was a really rough 1964 Corvair softtop, and have always enjoyed those little cars. Before I bought my Jet I was thinking of getting another Corvair, but was always worried about driving them in the 120F summers here in Las Vegas. Anyhow, I was always fascinated with the V8 Corvair conversions.0

Between the Hudson and this one, neither my wife’s car nor my daily driver Olds are ever in our garage. (Unless they are broken.) Old pic was the day after I bought in summer of 1985. New pix was this summer.
It’s a 1950 Chevrolet 3100. Has a 1965 Buick 300 V8, TH350, Nova rear, AMC Pacer front clip with power steering and Discs. Inside has cruise, tilt, power windows, AM/FM/CD w/amps and subwoofer. (I used to run my own car audio store.) I’ve had it for 20 years, not for sale, never will be. Put maybe 80k on it in that time including 3 trips across the USA. It was my daily driver for a few years, even used to take trash to the dump in it. I still smile every time I get in and it rumbles to life. Just can’t stay in a bad mood while drivin’ it. Looking forward to the day the Hudson will do the same. By the way I’m only a couple of brackets and pulleys away from lighting the engine in the Hornet for the first time. If I can ever find them. None of the salvage yards around here have anything for an engine that old. (A 1974 SBC???, too old???)0 -

It kind of takes the back seat space up, I used the entire front frame section of the Toronado including the transaxle and mated it to the Corvair unibody. This way I was able to use the factory Toro radiator, mounts, fan, shroud, etc. It makes it a lot easier to find parts at a local Auto Zone just in case... :rolleyes: I made custom torsion bar mounts with VW bars and coil over shocks.
The car is really, really quick. I originally thought it would do wheelies since the front is so light but with the Corvair long wheelbase and the way the engine is situated, I just squats about 1" and goes. One of these days I'll get it here to Utah. I moved here from Reno about a year ago and haven't gotten everything moved over.
