Looking for blue marble knobs

Hey 51, how you been? I got my gear shift knob from Mike, but he didn't have the turn signal or antenna knob.

Check with Lee Conner in Colorado. He had an NOS blue knob for sale a few weeks ago. His email is memoryln77 at aol.com I bought a blue turnsignal knob from him.

If the above lead doesn't work out, check with Jason at Vintage Coach. Bill had a box full of these a couple of years ago, sure he had some blue ones. Other thing you could do, is paint a burgundy one. The blue would match your shade of blue better anyway.

Last resort, if you have no luck at all, I'll turn one on the lathe for you out of aluminum and you can paint that.

Do you happen to have contact info for Vintage Coach? I have ivory ones, and always wondered if I dipped them in an unmixed batch of light blue and dark blue metallic enamel to simulate the marble how it would turn out.

Dagnabit! I forgot about the marbling on those things. You know those were cast that way, so that the marbling goes through the entire piece. I think the paint mix would not give you the results you were after. It would probably just make a bluish color that was in-between the two colors you used. Random thoughts here, but if one of the "colors" used was something different that did not mix well with the enamel paint, i.e., oil and water, then that's the result you would be after.

You were talking about the turn signal indicator, right? That's such a small little knob, is the "marbling" really that important? If so, I understand, but no one would even notice (except you, of course) if it was a solid color.
