29 Clum Switch Replicas

My new sweetheart 29 H Sup6 TS has had some level of a sealbeam upgrade work in the past but remains incomplete as far as I can tell. The clum switch wire end appears a bit (alot) abused. The linkage appears intact though. Are there any replica switches available? I am not sure at this point if I can return her back to original headlight lights. I may have to add a relay to handle the additional current.
I have 3 close up pics if interested
Any advice greately appreciated.
Thanks
Jack

I'd recommend a relay (discreetly hidden somewhere, perhaps behind the dashboard) for the headlights. Especially if they're sealed beam, or the 6 volt halogen bulbs. Grounding the sockets to the frame, can help as well. Not sure which of the new halogens fits your car, but Geoff can tell you, as he has them on his '28 Essex.0

Hi Jon,
I figured a relay was in order but the switch is a bit mangled. I might be able to build up one. Does any of the other cars of this era use this switch or is it a Hudson only.
THanks

It's a bit out of my era, but I'd suspect that the switches were pretty much unique to each manufacturer. Often, the metal fingers holding the covers on light switches, can be carefully pried back and the covers removed, and it may be possible to simple sand the contacts (maybe spraying them with some sort of contact grease) replace burned insulators and broken springs, and get back to normal. (Actually, I did this on my all-plastic 1985 Honda headlight switch, which is something you're never supposed to tackle, and the result is that it works perfectly!)
If your switch is too far gone, you might be able to acquire a better example from someone and repair that, using usable parts from your old switch. I doubt there are any NOS switches left, but then, one never knows!0 -
What the heck is a "clum" switch? Or a "clum"?0

1929 Chryslers use the same switch. Its a head light switch0

As a last resort I dropped a request for a used spare or replica in the Chrysler forum. Fingers are crossed! All 10!! Ohhhhhh Toes just went crossed too! If that's not begging what is!
Thanks Guys!0
