1933 Terraplane
Greetings, I am a newbe here. I love old cars. I am looking for some help here. I have 2 old parts from a 33 Hudson Terraplane that I would like to see go to a good home. I have a glass float bowl and a rearview mirror from a 33 Terraplane. The float bowl is in perfect condition no cracks chips, Has the #7 on the bottom outside. Thr rear view mirror is also good(glass) but the reflective backing is not good, and the metal bracket thet holds the mirror and mounts to the ws is rusty, but salvageable(imo). I have had these parts for many years, and have no use for them. I can still remember the car. It was a 33 Terraplane 2dr rumble seat roadster with an inline 8cyl. It had 4 louvered vents on each side of the cowl that opened and closed, and also had a cool grill that sloped down to a point with a neat ornament that said terraplane8. I wish we still had the car. It needed restoration and my uncle sold it many years ago
My Uncle, "rolloverRon" (passed last year at 84)and his twin brother Ira(my dad) raced Hudsons in the 50's in NE. At the time they had a salvage yard and their oun practice track in the front yard, and also a backyard full of 30s-40s Hudsons to build into race cars.. He won many races. I can still remember sitting in the bleachers eating dust(dirt track). He ( my uncle ) got the name "rollover" as often times, if he was not the race winner, he would roll the car in front of the grandstand. Great times.
Anyway, Previous to finding this site, I placed the items on that auction site..you know the one e..y. If anyone is interested(or you knowsomeone who might be) email me at jfarnsworth@gmavt.net or call me at 802-759-2574. Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, :)Jim I would like to see the parts go to someone who can use them, not a parts flipper on e...y
