lock cylinder removal

Hi,

I've searched this forum and found nothing so I'll ask it here. How do I remove the lock cylinder from the door handle on a 1929 Essex and will it fit into the deck lid handle on the same vehicle. I have an extra locking handle with the cylinder still in it. I need to replace the one in the deck lid handle. I have keys for both.
