37 steering column hole

Yes, the lower hole is for wires. That column is from a car originally equipped with the "Electric Hand" vacuum-electric gearshift system. The hole near the driver end is for mounting the gearshift switch assembly.

Ok, that makes sense. Now, this PU has floor shifter, so that means I can weld a patch plate on the two holes being as I don't have an electric hand or column shifter ?0

If you aren't in hurry, I will be removing the tube from my 36 to install tube for electric hand which it now has. I am not sure if length is same or not.0
