Aftermarket Turn Indicator Unit
Another day and I managed to goof again. :eek:Is this a part of the learning process? I installed ( attempted ) a after market turn indicator unit in my 41 Commodore 6 and to my suprise ended up with hazzard lights instead of right and left turn indicators. I connected the flasher to the ignition switch and followed the instructions to route the wires. I turned on the ignition switch and the light switch and nothing happens. The little green light does not go on. I checked for juice at the flasher and noticed that only two of the three connections have juice. When I connected the one that had power to the other the unit started to tick away. I checked the lights in the front and both of the lights in the spears were blinking and the same time. Checked the back and same in the back both were flashing. It was starting to get late so I stopped. I thought the flasher could be a problem. Any ideas?

Do you have a wiring diagram for your car? If not, get hold of Rhode Island Wiring and see if they can send you one. THey sent me one specifically for the turn signal circuit and it simplified my life not to mention the rewiring of my car, a 54 Special. And yes, it is part of the learning process.
Good luck, Doug0
