Why not NGK B-6L Spark Plugs for the 308?

I was paging through my service manual today, and it specifically calls for Champion H8 Spark Plugs, which to my understanding are no longer made. I am currently using Champion H10 plugs as suggested by other HET members. After reading about H8s in the manual, I did a search for other brands matches to the Champion H8s, and came up with NGK B-6L spark plugs.

I was wondering if anyone runs NGK B-6L spark plugs , if not, why?

Thanks for helping me with my curiosity :D

Have you read your H-10 plugs? An H-8 plug is colder than an H-10, so if your H-10 plug reads good, an H-8 will be too cold (black, sooty). I use Autolite 437 which is crossed to Champion H-12 in my Hornet. Anything colder fouls quickly.

You are jetted to rich in your carburetor, or meter rods are not correct. H-10 with today's gas is perfect. Walt.
