P.S. Where in France do you live. In 1962 or 63 my best friend and I had a chance to go to Europe for 6 weeks. His father, step mother, 2 brothers and one sister lived in a small village in Germany. One of the tours we took was five days in Paris. We visited as many of your beautiful sites and museums in and around Paris as time would allow.



My dad tried to talk me out of the trip saying that my millitary obligations would take me to Europe. For once I was glad I didn't take his advice. When I went into the military in 1964 I never got out of the United States. I would have missed the wonderfull experience of visiting your France, as well as Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

We used to carry the door handle guards but the story we heard was either the die broke or it was lost and the owner of the die did not wish to invest in another one. We have sold out of the ones we had and we cannot get anymore. As of right now no one is making them.
