wire color?
Does any body know what color the cloth covered wiring on my 53 Superwasp was originally?I need to replace some degraded wiring and want to go back with something as close as possible to factory. From what i can tell, under the dash, it appears to be tan with a blue tracer but can't find tan, only white or oak.where is a good source for cc'd wire and is the stuff on ebay any good? thanks J.R.

Each wire has a differant scheme so the best way to find the pattern is in a shop manuel that contains a wire schematic layout. In the diagram there is a legend that states the color pattern with a number to make it easy to follow. Many folks use two companies, Y & Z in Redlands Ca. and Rhode Island Wiring. Both are fine. I know Y&Z and they can also match individual lengths with the correct pattern and wire size.0
