I was at the classic car museum in Norwich NY past weekend and they have a 1923 Essex "Commercial Roadster" any one recall this model?? Also gorgeous 47 Commadore convertible Hope these pictures post. First time in new format Not having luck posting photos, will try later. Any way this has a sign that states made with pick up box therefore designated as commercial roadster

Well I guess that this effort to post photos didn't work either. So far two hours total trying to post photos. Absolute frustration!! Got no clue, I couldn't post on the old forum either. Is it my computer or is this new forum moving at a snails pace and why doesn't it go directly to the Hudson forum??

The factory built an Essex pick-up truck around 1922, 1923 which was used to haul parts around the factory. That was a one off.

In my collection of die cast cars and trucks I have a small 1927 Essex with a box on the back. This was used by the Deluxe check printers to haul checks around. Caption says "First Deluxe delivery truck, Essex coupe conversion used in the Chicago financial district circa 1927".

Can't say that I've heard of this one, tho.
