This and about 5K and you would have a very nice driver or you could kick out about 15K and have one of the best on the block. Good clean looking project---with some reasonable work....0

One reason I bought a coupe was that I drove a Hollywood about 25 years ago. Don't know if my experience was normal, but I was never in a more "rattly" car in my life! Hardtops are always that way after a few years, but this one was over the top. Coupe hangs together a lot better.
But I agree- that's a great buy, for a Hollywood that runs and drives, and looks pretty straight.0 -
I'll bet "Harry 54's" mistresses phone number that it will sell for buy it now.0

I agree it's a good buy, but having restored a Hollywood... Almost the same trouble as a convertible and when you are done.. It still ain't a convertible. This one might still be tight..Glad I'm broke cause this one is almost in my back yard..0 -
Believe for about the same money, I'd have to go with that '53 Super Wasp coupe that we were talking about a couple days ago. BTW, the guy got back to me, and the numbers match- so its a gen-u-wine Twin H 262 in that baby.
Be still, my checkbook. I need to remind myself how chilly and uncomfortable it is to sleep out in the shop.
Wife and I will celebrate 40 years in February- sometimes I note that it can seem like 50, with the wind chill. Buying that Super Wasp would definitely make the winds of autumn start blowing!0 -

I know what you mean Mike. We will celebrate our 41 this month. My wife was reluntant to let me look at another Hudson. I told her it was automatic, she doesn't drive stick, then it was reluctantly o---k. When I broungt it home it was ok until I told someone in front of her that the car was hers. There was a little frost in the air then. She said it is not hers it is yours. With that misunderstanding cleared up, we're fine. Good for another wonderful 41 years.

Gotta be careful with what you assign your wife. I sold mine on the 40 Model 44 Eight Coupe with 'This can be your car' thing. Couple of weeks later she wanted to buy something, and said she was thinking of selling her car and getting it. WHOA! It's not s'posed to work that way.
Well, we're working on 55 yrs, and plan to drive the coupe to Gettysburg. Gotta
GIT ER DONE!
Dragged home one of those 51 Hollywoods last summer. Why? I don't have time for it. Roof bashed in and body dented up. Motor turns. Make it a convert?..or buy Jason Fisher's good top. Northern NYS. Anybody interested.0
