I have not heard of Moebius Models, but $28.99? Is that what models are costing these days?0

It seems Moebius Models is into reissuing some of the old Aurora plastic science fiction kits like Frankenstein and the tracked vehicle from the old TV series, "Lost in Space". This 1/25 scale model of a Hudson Hornet is an unusual choice for them to be producing in kit form. Seems it may be a good seller, despite the relatively high price for a model this size, considering they're the first kit manufacturer ever to come out with this car in the very popular 1/25 scale. Don't forget, Hobby Lobby, which also sells plastic kits, is now putting 40% off coupons in the Sunday papers!0

From the title I thought Hudson was coming out with a new model this month, Darn!0

While $28.99 may seem like a lot - and I know we're comparing oranges and apples here - look at the price for die cast models!!! Factor in the joy of putting together your very own Hudson Hornet and you can paint it the same color of your own Hudson. And if you're creative you can even make it into a convertible!!!
Look at it as a "cheap restoration"!!!!

I had come across a bunch of different modeling forums when looking for decals. They were all abuzz about this release.0

Is that a platstic kit model ? If so that would be the first Hudson one....would allow for a lot of mods too in color and such.0

Ehobbies currently shows the Moebius Hudson Hornet as "out of stock" and available in December (2010). I suspect it might even be later than December as the molds for this kit still hadn't been "cut" as of June of this year. Also, smaller model kit companies often take much longer to bring a model to market, especially when it's a new mold. Even the "biggies" like Revell-Monogram can take a while to introduce a kit they promised for one year and then it comes out the following year. Airfix, of England, took at least over a year beyond the anouncement date to bring to market their highly anticipated 1/48 scale U.S. Air Force Martin B-57B Canberra jet bomber kit (by the way, some of you may recall that Hudson had a government contract to build the tail section for the real B-57 back in the early 1950's!).0
