Exhaust leak
I recently replaced the exhaust/muffler gasket with a new one I got from Dave Kostanek. I just got the engine running again and have cranked it maybe ten times since replacing the gasket and already the there is an exhaust leak. Is there a NAPA replacement for that particular gasket? I've tried calling Dave, but I'm not having any luck.

Got a gasket right above the pipe attachment that could be bad also (held on by three studs). Also about 2 out of 3 of the exhaust manifolds are crack when I take a car apart0

It's the gasket that is just above the exhaust pipe with the three stud holes that I'm talking about. That's the one that is leaking. Can you get it from NAPA?0

If you take the old gasket up to a them they can match it up . There is a modern one that is very close. I just do not know the #. You may have a slight warpage or alignment issue. Might try two gaskets this time,

If there has been a leak at that junction for a while, it may have 'eaten' the machined surface of the casting away slightly, and then getting it to seal could be a little more challenging. I've seen this as well in this area. Exhaust gaskets require pretty clean surfaces to work properly.0
