Oil coming out of a head bolt

I've got a stripped head bolt on my 262 six. I can see some bubbling oil residue on top of the head. Where would this oil be coming from? Thanks

    Probably from the cylinder next to the striped head bolt from the head gasket that's not sealing very well.

    FYI
    This may work if threads arent too badly stripped...
    Try cleaning best you can with head on then Red Locktite a 7/16" Dorman Stud (available Auto Stores or Hardware)into the block and let cure, then put a little Permatex or RTV around the stud and Use a nut & washer.

    What does a Dorman Stud look like?
    Havent ever used one yet, but sounds like something I need to know more about.
    What type magazine/catalogue will I find them in?

    Dorman is a company that makes/ supplies auto related products, they,ve been around for years. Dorman studs look like any other automotive grade hardware, but they nsell them in kits to auto parts stores. They will have a tray with several different size studs to choose from. It's a good company that sells quality hardware. You probably won't find this at Kragen or Auto Zone. but Joe's Auto Parts down the street will carry them. Good luck. Remember to get one long enough to get 1/2" of thead into the block and as much sticking up over the head. [ at least that much]

    Dorman is just a Brand Name and World Leader but any Brand will do..Measure length need and try local Granger Store or Tractor Supply. Look in Dorman's Web Site www.dormanproducts.com then go to the part or keyword search window and type studs double ended Grade 8. I did then went to my local Value Auto Store and they ordered it. (Most giant Auto Stores today wont look up misc things)(I THINK THEY COME IN PACKS OF 5)

    At this time they do not make the BEST brand for head gaskets in a 262

    Best does not make a head gasket for the narrow or wide block 262 motor. Try Dale Cooper.
