Can anyone identify this old winged hood ornament belonging to any HET Car?

My first thought was about a '47 Cadillac. ...Just a guess.

Looks like late 40s or early to mid 50s Caddy. On most/all of those cars you lifted the front of the ornament up to relase the hood latch.

It appears to be from a 1953 through 1956 Cadillac.
