DOME LAMP FOR 46 SUPER SIX
THE RECEPTICLE IS FOR A STAGGERED DIMPLES 1157 BULB. I WOULD LIKE TO RIG IT FOR THE HIGHER INTENTSITY FILIMENT (HIGH BEAM) FOR A BRIGHTER INTERIOR LIGHT. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? IS THERE A HIGH INTENSITY SINGLE FILIMENT BULB THAT HAS A BASE LIKE A 1157 BULB?? THANKS JR

It would seem to me that if your dome lamp has the "staggered index" socket, that socket has been replaced - it should have a standard index double contact 15 CP #88 bulb as this is a two circuit system. The switch from the door post powers one side of the bulb, and on the Commodore models, a switch from under the dash powers the other side of the bulb0

Should be fairly simple to change the socket on the mounting plate to suit your needs0
