Hornet featured on American Pickers

I saw that too, but it looked like a '48 or '49 to me based on the grill and the badges on the sides of the front fenders. If that's correct, it wasn't a Hornet.
Either the owner didn't know what he had or I don't know what I'm talking about. Any votes either way?0 -

I didn't see the show but I understand that they were supposed to be at Dwight Wilkerson's place in Crump Tenn. Dwight definitely knows his Hudsons and has several in the yard down there. My understanding was that they were to be there (in Crump) later this month, with the show airing shortly afterwards.

I caught the show a few nights ago and then noticed that it was on again last night. As I recall they threw out a price of @2,500. It looked like a good deal to me?0

It is a $1200 car at best. Head was off, showed signs of rust in the right rear quarter. Upholstery was shot. I have this exact same car, but in better metal shape that is rust free anyone can buy it for $2500...let me know if interested0

I saw the show last night aswell. I was shocked that they kept calling it a Hornet. I suspect they called it a Hornet just for the TV show.0

FYI
I happened to see the Show as well, only because our local Newspaper said the 'two Eccentric Guys' that ride around our City (Erie Pa) on their Tandem Bike dressed alike would be featured last night. (I dont know where their house is but only glad its not in my neighborhood.....Also that real old Hotel was near our area....
I agree the Hudson was not a Hornet... I recall the owner saying a friend had a Hornet once and looking similar to a novice think thats why he called it a Hornet.,...
If nothing else, Hudson got some nice free TV Time again......0 -

"Eccentric" is right. Those guys must have escaped from San Francisco or West Hollywood.0 -
A Friend of mine saw the show and said they were somewhere North East of Tenn. So that means it was not Dwights place in Crump. Look for him in a future episode, I know He has several Hudsons and knows the difference between the different models!

I saw that Pickers show the other day and saw that the car was a 48 or 49. So many people think any Hudson is a Hornet. But, then, there was a man several years ago who saw my 50 Pacemaker and insisted it was a Terraplane.
