1954 Jetliner Available
I am reluctantly offering my 1954 Jetliner sedan for sale. I have decided I would rather spend my time and money on my 1938 Studebaker Commander State coupe and my 1960 Hawk. I have really appreciated all the help I got from people here on the forum while I have been sorting out the running and starting problems I had with the Jet. I am posting information here to see if anyone on the forum is interested in the car before I list it on Ebay. It is a pretty loaded car with Hydramatic, continental kit, excellent working pushbutton radio, windshield washers, day/night mirror, Hudson tissue dispenser, heater, fender skirts and wheel trim rings. It is red with a white top and white continental spare cover. The Jet runs and drives, but I wouldn't trust it for any distance. The interior has been reupholstered in the correct colors, but the inserts should have been pleated rather than plain. The paint is decent driver-quality, but the metal prep underneath wasn't very good. It is very clean and solid underneath the car. If anyone here is interested I would take $2800 cash.
Thanks,

Looks like a lot of car for the money. Good luck!
Is it Twin H? Folks might be interested in a picture of the engine compartment.0 -
No, it is not a Twin H. I'm kinda glad of that as I had enough problems with the single carburetor and intake manifold without an extra carb to deal with
Here are pictures of the engine compartment.0 -
A good looking car Bruice. I am the HET Registrar for Jets, all models. Would it be possible for you to email me the serial number of the car for club records, and may I ask you the favor of letting me know the name and address of the person that buys the car from you. We are making a real effort to keep track of all Hudsons, but it has been a real problem getting owners and members to forward serial number info.

That's a lotta car for $2800, it appears. Good luck with the sale, I'm sure it will go to a good home.0

I was hoping we'd be able to create a scene by parking our Jets side by side at a future gathering. I can spread word in the chapter that it's available, but would prefer to recruit some help so you can enjoy it! Either way, you're welcome to kick tires with us in whatever orphan you show up with.
.... If I could only convince my husband that we needed his and her matching Jets, LOL...0 -
Sarah,
Don't ask... just put a big bow on it and tell him Merry Christmas!

The '54 Jetliner has gone to a new home with Hudson aficionado Frank Hughes of Shelton Washington. He says the car will join the four 1954 Jetliners he already owns.

That's great! I know Frank- he's a good mechanic (and a good guy), and it will be well taken care of.
Frank- have you been listening to too many breakfast cereal commercials? It looks like you're trying to be "the first on your block to collect them all!" :woohoo:0 -
MIKE..
It appears that at one time Frank was a member of our local HET, but for
some reason did NOT renew his membership in 2010.
Can you put a bug in his ear and let him know that we would love to have him back.
He can contact me for membership application:
