53 Super Jet

Hello, Could somebody tell what the unit under the dash, behind the glove box in my 53' super jet is, I think it might be a temperture control unit? Any way, mine is leaking, does anybody know where I could get a new one??

That more than likely is your heater control valve. They were made by Ranco and I'm sure that somebody here on the form will have a source for you. They pop up on EBay occasionally but make sure that you get the one for your Jet, they fit differently at the firewall face.
