I guess I'm a winner! I bought the truck (Jethroe)and she still kept me. Although I'll hear about it until my dying day. (Except when she wants me to use "Jethroe" to pick up hay or some other acuterments to horse drawn wagons)

As the husband of a horse lady, I advise you to play the "horse card" shamelessly! Remember, your truck doesn't eat anything, nor does it do anything that requires a shovel to clean up! It doesn't require daily care, and it can be used to haul hay, fencing, tack, etc. etc. You play your cards right, and she'll be begging you to buy another one. Well, that may be a stretch, but at least she won't whine when you spend a little money on Jethro to keep it standing ready to serve her every equine need.
