Where are the 1927 Hudson serial / engine numbers?
I just got an e-mail from a fellow I met last fall, who has purchased a 1927 Hudson and is exporting it from Pennsylvania to Serbia.
He needs to show the body serial number, and the engine number, to the authorities to clear customs. Where is the serial number plate (and isn't there an alternate location for the number, on a frame rail behind the right rear wheel)?
Where, on the engine, is its serial number located?

According to one source that I have, an NADA price guide, it says:
Serial number up to 1930, on plate on dash under hood and on right side of frame member at rear frame spring horn.
An earlier Branham list says:
Cars Classified in 1924 and afer have serial number as above. Motor number is punched on top of left hand motor leg.
