On the Road

Filming for the new movie "On the Road" based on the Jack Kerouac novel of the same name is almost complete. I was kind of worried these idiots had forgot to read the novel and would use a different car than the Hudson that Jack described in the book. Thankfully they did indeed use a 49 Hudson. Do not really know who the young actors are and if I go see the movie it will be for the car(how sad is that). I liked the book but Hollywood has a tendency to screw up most adaptions so not holding my breath for anything special. But hey its got a Hudson in it so we are good to go.

First still from movie.

Making a movie about America's first hippie is not new to Hollywood. They did one here in Ogden, Utah on famed 25th Street about ten years ago. It stared Keuana Revees and was called "The Last Time I Committed Sucide." You can find it every now and then on latenight bad movies. They did not bother to go out and find a Hudson.... They used a Mercury Convertible. It was a lot of fun running around the lot and talking to the stars but since they filmed it all at night it was a bit of a pain....
