Club folk lore going back to the 60s placed the total production numbers at near 200 units for all models of 1954 Hudson. Dave Sollen keeps the Convertible roster and is the owner of a 54 Hornet convertible. Over the years I have personally observed <35 1954 Hudson convertibles. Many of those cars were resurrected from the abyss... one from St Louis was rusted all the way up the belt line but was redone and the outcome was really very nice. My dos centavos

I ade note of vin# and will be watching it to see who buys it. Total convertible production of 1954 was 244, with no breakdown by model Hornet and Super Wasp according to Hudson records in archives of Jack Miller. Of these, 55 are known to survive with 49 Hornet and 6 Super Wasp convertibles registered.

There have been a lot of convertibles on Ebay since the first of the year and no one seems to be selling. I expect that this is because they all have to high of a reserve. If anyone really wanted a stepdown convertible it is a good time to buy one?

Seller must be testing the waters with everything. 5 different cars have had the auction end with no reserves being met on any of them.
