Looks like it has rust in all the correct places!

Has nice shining white walls. Walt0

Isn't that a 53 Hood Ornament? Boy somebody with a lotta Moolah, and knowhow, could really make that baby sizzle!0

I must be getting old and tired. For about the same amount of money I would be looking for a "rust free" example. By the time you got this one done, you would have to really want it???0

But it has three things in its favor: (1) it's a coupe (2) it has white walls (3) it has shinny hub caps. Maybe a forth, it has alot of patina which is sought after in some circles.

A clean title for it is probably worth more than the car. If the frame is solid, especially over the rear wheels, it would be a hoot to do the minumim cosmetic work, get it safely driveable, and drive it to shows pretty much as you see it there. IMAVHO, that is...:cheer:0

 Perhaps a boat anchor, at least once. Must be a prototype '51 only super wasp. Two years early. Arnie in Nevada.0

As a matter of fact I know of Goldenrod garage in Freeport, ME. Been there a few times. They aren't bad people to deal with - at least he's honest about it being (barely) a parts car. And lets face it folks, today $1500 for a parts car ain't all that far off. This ain't 1973 any more.
Goldenrod deals mostly in older cars, by the way. and as I said, they're pretty honest in their dealings.

At least it's green, wait a minute, maybe that is mold, guess it isnt green afterall. You know most Hudsons are green, arnt they? Bob0

Ahhh. It's fixable. One of my prefered bodies and year.0

Probably not much left to work with- notice that the bottom portion of both back fenders is gone, and bumper is probably hay-wired on. That brougham further up the page for $900 is probably a lot better candidate.
Goldenrod has been around forever- I remember them advertising in Cars and Parts 30 years ago. Must be pretty decent folks to last that long.0 -
Well, I did not know that my parts car (53 Super Wasp)that I call "The Ghost" had an older brother... The motor runs. It has a 308 (even if it is a Super Wasp) with an Hydramatic and I was able to have it run quite easy. I keep it just in case my 262 in the 54 would need a transplant. Plus, I discovered the interior is exactly the same. The only difference being a little difference in the design of the material. Here in Quebec we have about 12 step-down Hudsons in all. A few 53 and I have the only one 54. So I am glad to have that 53 to back-up. And the interior is blue as is my 54.
Question. Was a 308 available as an option for a Super wasp? I know, after reading a lot of topics here that we can put a 262 head on a 308 but how about a 308 head on a 262? Seems strange to me... Or maybe the 53 had a transplant... Michel.0
