Rear window gasket

I looked the other day at KGap's site for a rear window gasket for my 1950 Pacemaker Brougham. None was offered though in the past they listed them. Has anyone a suggestion as to where else I might find the gasket I need? Is there another supplier?

Thanks to you all. Geoff Blake

Karr Rubber Manufacturing might be able to help. See their web site.

    http://karrrubber.com/karrproducts/prod01.htm
  • Phone number on Karr website does not work anymore. I am also looking for rear gaskets and also windshield gaskets. Any info would be great.

Contact Lance Walker, AKA, Hudzilla on here. He is in the roster, Charlotte, NC.....
He may know of an alternative.

Geoff - Try "Bob's Auto Glass, Blachly, OR for the rear window rubber
1-800-624-2130. Been in biz since 1984, and stocks all kinds of glass items for collector cars

I spoke to Bob yesterday, he does not have rubber for Hudson. He has the glass, but no rubber.
  • For the past month I have attempted to reach KGAP but I only get recording. No result on leaving my name and Ph number. I too would be interested in all rubber weatherstripping for 49 Hudson

cowboy, Just spoke with Kaylene 3 days ago, She is going through a serious family difficulty. She told me to please E-mail any requests, as she is out more often than not. kgaphet@aol.com
  • :) I just had a response from KGAP as a result of my email to them. They said they have run out of the rear window gasket I'm looking for, but they will have a new batch in about March 11. So all who need that gasket, keep an eye on KGAP's site for the arrival of those gaskets.

    Might look at http:/www.restorationspecialties.com

They show several in their catalog. Pg 40
  • Ron S; Middletom; and Uncle Josh. Thanks for the information. I just spoke to Todd at Restoration Specialities. He was very customer oriented and went out of his way to help, but he does not have which weatherstripping I should buy without a sample. My 49 super six still has the front windshield and rear glass in. The weatherstripping is cracked in several places-- the trunk weatherstripping is totally gone. I had rather not pull the windshield/rear glass until I have new in hand.. If any one knowes the correct one from Restoration Specialities or other universal type that works I would appreciate. May have to wait until Later in March and Hope. Thanks Horace Hudson

I might have a good used one for a 1950 Pacemaker (small rear window) but I'd have to dig out into the garage to look.
  • I've had a mailing from Pat Walsh, and the price for a rear window gasket was over two hundred dollars. He even wants $75.00 for a can of clutch fluid. He may have the parts but they are beyond my reach.

  • Did You Check with Lance Walker? He may know someone. 704-792-9110

$75 for clutch fluid, that's rediculous, even if you want a can in the original Hudson containers for display, they're not exactly that rare, they're around.

Yes, Kaylene has some serious personal family problems, but I emailed her and she got back to me same day. She has what I need and is sending it. I'm sure KGap will continue to be one of our best suppliers, just give them time.
