Pacemaker Wiring Harness
Is there a trick to getting to the dimmer/brake wiring that runs down along the inside of the fender well? I can see it but cant get access to work the wiring throught the grommett. Is the only way in pulling the driver side fender well? Appreciate any advise on this. I'm replacing with a YNZ harness.

There will be alot of learning on this project!0 -
The dimmer switch wiring is accessable after removing the inner fender panel section that is bolted to the body... You DO NOT have to remove the whole inner fender. Once this piece is removed the whole wiring harness section is exposed including the dimmer switch. Just completed the same task on a short hood Hudson.0

Thanks WildWasp, will get the wheel off and locate the panel. This is a complete rewire and my first so there's alot of learning going on. Both myself for the knowledge and hopefully the car for safety will be better off when it's completed!0

After I installed the YnZ wiring harness in my 54 Hudson I was a bit leery about connecting the battery to see if it all worked. After calling YnZ and telling them my fears they made a simple suggestion. Test the whole system with a 6 volt lantern battery before you hook it up to your regular battery. The 6 volt lantern battery supplies just enough power to light the lights but won't do any damage if you got something wrong.
Couldn't be happier with my YnZ wiring harness.

That's a great idea to use the 6 volt lantern battery. Also I did get the panel off and was able to get access to the wiring. Had to be careful handling the panel since most of it had become brittle from age. Guess that's to be expected. Now need to address the gage cluster, fixing the wind up clock and black background on the facings. Really appreciate all the help!!0
