Pretty obvious about source of smell in the '52 I bought out of central Montana- mouse manure! Everywhere! I'm posting not because of unique or unusual situation, but to remind everybody about Hanta Virus, in mouse manure from drier climates (Kangaroo mouse, I think). ALWAYS mask up (or even better, use a breathing apparatus). I masked up and tried not to disturb it until I got the seats out- then I put together every vacuum cleaner hose extension I could find, so I could stand outside the car while I vacuumed it out. Dump the vacuum out in the woods, not in the shop garbage can. That was several years ago (Ray in Las Vegas bought the car and has nearly completed it), and I'm still alive, so I guess I did OK.

Is the guy still posting on here, who told the vinegaroon story a few years ago? We had some fun with that one.

I think I have a rats nest in my trunk, Gotta get it open to see. I wont crawl in through the back seat. 16 people have died so far from getting that in there lungs. Ill wait tillwarmer weather, try and get it open no keys. John

  • What do owners out there use to keep the D@#$#@ mice out of their cars? as you can see from the pictures they get into everthing and cause lots of damage.
