another hub puller question

after looking around the last year or so i found a couple of the "dogbone" handle screw action type hub pullers like you guys suggested for the rear hubs. i came up with this at a auction the other day and got it, but it's a MASSIVE snap on slide hammer type. just wanted to check and make sure i would have no use for it on a hudson. it's way to big to store just for the off chance i might need it on some other style of car. thanks, hr

Wow, THAT could work! But it also looks much heavier than the standard "dogbone". (Only thing you DON'T want is one that hammers the axle INwards. That will break something in the differential.)

Good niteshirt. You can turn that sucker in to the local scrap metal place for almost enough cash to buy a proper one off'm Walt Mordenti.

thank you both. i may just keep it then. i do have 2 of the dogbone style, one with 3 legs and one with different hole patterns drilled in a plate. i don't need this one for either of my chevys and i wasn't sure if i should use it on my hudson. thanks again. this one won't eat anything so i may just let it sit around for a while, untill i get the itch to sell it.

well i finally put one of my pullers to use and got the rear hub off and the axle out. going to grease the rear bearings and redo the rear breaks (i have just had the front ones hooked up so far) while it's out.
