Lee,
I think that someone should learn how to flare a brake line.

You got that right Bruce.
I couldn't believe someone would do that. What is even more astonishing is, without a flare, it didn't leak. If it hadn't been for a leaking master and wheel cylinders and deciding to change the brake hoses I may not have found it until after a possible accident. I had been driving it like that for about a 1,000 miles after buying the car. I have installed new brake lines from the master to rear hose. The lines to the wheel cylinders had already been replaced. I have replaced the master cyl, 4 wheel cyl's, brake shoes, 3 brake hoses, freed up frozed star adjusters and sticking right parking brake cable.
Just have to repack the front wheel bearings, adjust the brakes/anchor pins, bleed system and check parking brake adjustment, brake pedal adjustment and secondary braking system and I'm back on the road.
Our safety was in Gods hand. That brake line should have been gushing fluid every time the brake pedal was pushed, but it wasn't.
Then it is on to changing the center point steering bearing with Gert Kristiansons bushing kit. HETgtkristi@copper.net drop the HET if anyone is interested in his kit. Then the front and rear motor mounts. Then leaking valve cover gaskets. Hopefully I'll be ready for the trip to the International Meet in Okla.
Have a great day.
