FYI- I have updated my blog - 52hornet.blogspot.com (more pictures & details)

It has been quite some time since I have looked at the forum, and even longer since I have posted. Thankfully, the spring has delivered good news. I was hired by Mayo Clinic and started March 7th. The Hudson started up this spring with only a little persuasion and the whole family took it for a cruise to the Pizza Ranch, about a 60 mile round trip. We were able to preserve my 'Hudson money' during my unemployment, so the interior restoration & general tune-up/check-up by Dr. Doug is still on. The '52 Hudson Hornet will be shipped to Wildrick Restoration by K&L early June. Jan sent more pictures of progress on the fabric. The fabric is scheduled to arrive by the end of May.

Glad to hear that you saved your "Hudson money" and that the project is going forward.

It is good to hear of your status. I would hope that this is just a turn in the road that is soon long behind you. We are feeling the pain of lost contracts and lay-offs here in our small community. I left work and went into retirement eighteen months ago and eighty percent of our work force followed after me. The ripple down effect has now started to show. My son-in-law, a local school teacher has been told that due to folks moving out of the school district the numbers needed for his classes next year has fallen of and he will not be offered a job next year. One or two small businesses in town have closed their doors due to a down turn in customers. Times are rough around these parts. I get excited when I hear that someone has found work. Best to you and your Hudson.
