i have what looks like a twin h style air cleaner. it has the mesh filter that is on the end of the round tube. well it has acorns or dirt dobbers nest or something inside and it won't come out. after i took the end and filter off i shook and shook and some has came out but i don't want to take a chance on getting it in my engine. doesn't look like the main body comes apart and sugestions getting it out?

It does come apart. Very carefully, unroll the edge off of the main cylinder. Go slow, a little at a time and work your way around the cylinder. Once you unroll the edge enough, the unit can be taken apart, cleaned out, etc.
The main cylinder can even be replaced, if necessary. It is the same size as your common stove-pipe.
When you're done, put it back together and roll the edge back the way it came, again working slowly around the cylinder and "peening" the edge back around.
I've had a half-a-dozen of them apart. Works well when you are restoring these air cleaners.0 -
